Integrated Functional Systems Business Plan
All business majors at James Madison University are required to take COB 300 during their junior year. The course teaches students about the interdependency between different business disciplines, with a focus on Finance, Marketing, Management, and Operations.
Along with traditional coursework in each of the four classes, I also worked on a semester-long business plan project with six other students in different majors. We had to develop a new product and plan the entire production, marketing, projected sales, and company structure of our new business. COB 300 gave me a unique opportunity to learn firsthand how different aspects of a business need to work together to be successful.
